ATK has made the leap to the commercial aircraft industry by manufacturing stringers and frames for the new Airbus A350 XWB airliner. The Company is also manufacturing composite fan containment case for General Electric’s GEnx engine. The company is well positioned to deliver for US and international customers, as composite aircraft move from the drawing board to the flight line. ATK test and research facilities offer a wide variety of contract research and development services, hypersonic testing and development, commercial and alternative energy, MEMS development, prototype manufacturing and instrumentation, and flight test vehicles. Among ATK’s key successes are the successful design, build, integration- and flight tests of scramjet technology reaching Mach 7 and Mach 10.
