ATK Spacecraft Systems and Services provides a broad portfolio of products and services that include integrated satellite bus systems, world-class multidisciplinary engineering services, and market leading integrated thermal control systems for military, intelligence, commercial, civil, and international customers. A strong space heritage, proven technologies, and superior performance have resulted in a 100% mission success rate.
Spacecraft Systems and Services is an industry leader in small satellite bus technology. The division developed the platform for the successful Earth Observer-1, THEMIS, and TacSat-3 satellites and was selected to provide the spacecraft bus for the first Air Force Operationally Responsive Space (ORS) satellite (ORS-1). The division also delivered the ORS-1 bus ahead of schedule. The spacecraft launched in June 2011.
