Integrated Weapon Systems
ATK Integrated Weapon Systems began in 2006 as the result of combining Medium Caliber Gun Systems with Medium Caliber Ammunition Systems. The repositioning to an integrated offering took place in 2009 when the division acquired the assets of North Star Systems, Inc., adding electronics and fire control capabilities to its proven offerings of innovative chain guns and medium-caliber ammunition. The division is headquartered in Mesa, Arizona. where gun manufacturing operations are located in a satellite operation and additional engineering, contract and business development support take place in Minnesota.
