Attack Munition (SLAM)
SLAM is a compact, lightweight, hand-emplaced munition developed for the U.S. Army and Special Operations Forces, enabling them to engage a variety of targets. Its multiple fuzing modes increase its effectiveness against enemy armored vehicles and other targets by enabling:
- Bottom or side attack
- Timed demolition at user-selectable times
- Operator-initiated command detonation with
standard Army blasting caps or a time-delay firing device
SLAM is easy to carry and use. Accessory straps and fasteners enhance transportability and expedite mounting of SLAM to natural or man-made objects. Its sight provides simple, rapid, and accurate aiming. Interface features support day/night and all-weather operation. |
