ATK Defense Group is an industry leader in ammunition, precision and strike weapons, missile-warning solutions, and tactical rocket motors across air, sea and land-based systems. Armament Systems
ATK Armament Systems specializes in innovating low-cost, highly reliable and precise munitions for artillery and mortar systems. The division is a world leader in developing and producing tactical and training tank ammunition, with more than 30 years of experience and 4 million rounds provided to date. We are the world’s top producer of medium-caliber gun systems and ammunition, and the developer of the revolutionary XM25, an airburst grenade launcher also known as the Individual Semi-Automatic Airburst System. Armament Systems also creates systems that protect soldiers on the battlefield. We manage America’s largest, privately owned proving ground, which gives ATK and its customers the ability to rapidly test weapons and demilitarize them when necessary.
ATK Armament Systems produces a complete family of medium-caliber training and tactical ammunition that meets today’s requirements and serves as the cornerstone for tomorrow’s Future Combat Systems. ATK medium-caliber ammunition can be fired from Apache helicopters, A-10 Thunderbolt II aircraft, and Bradley infantry-fighting vehicles. Outstanding reliability, accuracy and lethality make our 20 mm, 25 mm, and 30 mm rounds effective in anti-armor, anti-materiel, anti-personnel, ground suppression, air defense and shipboard-defense applications.

Defense Electronic Systems
ATK Defense Electronic Systems is a leading developer of next-generation SEAD/DEAD weapon systems and missile-warning and aircraft survivability solutions. In addition, the division is a provider of special-mission aircraft integration and support, aerial targets and training systems.
The products within ATK Defense Electronic Systems include: the Advanced Anti-Radiation Guided Missile, the Joint and Allied Threat Awareness System, the AN/AAR-47 Missile Warning System, AC-208 Combat Caravan and Light Gunship.

Missile Products
ATK Missile Products is an industry leader in the development and production of tactical rocket motors and missile systems for various air, space, sea and land-based applications. The division is also home to the development of advanced missile-interceptor capabilities, as well as innovative engineering technologies for the energy industry.
The division manages a broad portfolio of progressive and high performance programs, including: Tactical Propulsion, Fuzing and Warheads, Missile Defense, Upper Stages and Controls, Tactical Subsystems, and Advanced Systems and Power.
The division operates three world class manufacturing and testing facilities, as well as several satellite offices in the following locations: Baltimore, MD; Elkton, MD; Newington, VA; Plymouth, MN; Rocket Center, WV; Ronkonkoma, NY; San Jose, CA and West Palm Beach, FL.
The division also operates New River Energetics (NRE) at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford, Va. NRE loads, assembles and packs 25 mm, 30 mm and LW30 mm ammunition for U.S. government and international customers. The site also is the location for distribution of TNT and other energetic materials. Our team conducts energetics research and development, and NRE is the technology provider for the modernization of the energetics manufacturing facility in Mulwala, Australia.
The products within ATK Missile Products include: Hellfire Propulsion System; IM Hellfire Propulsion System; Guided Multiple Launch Rocket System Advanced Warhead (GMLRS AW), FMU-143 electronic bomb fuze; Solid Divert and Attitude Control System for SM-3; Third-stage Rocket Motor for SM-3; Thrust-vector Electronic Control System (TVECS); and the Javelin Launch Tube Assembly (LTA) .

Small Caliber Systems
ATK Small Caliber Systems is the world’s leading producer of high-quality ammunition and links for the military in 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm and .50-caliber rounds. ATK ramped up production at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant from the 400 million rounds produced in 2000 to a capacity of 1.6 billion rounds by 2012.
ATK facility management capabilities are integral to the U.S. munitions production enterprise at the Lake City plant in Independence, Mo. We have served as the leading Department of Defense Prime Contractor for production of small-caliber ammunition since April 2000. In that time, ATK has produced more than 12 billion rounds of 5.56 mm, 7.62 mm, .50-caliber and 20 mm ammunition, and reduced costs to a cumulative savings of $1 billion. In partnership with the Army, ATK has implemented more than $370 million in modernization projects at the plant to ensure it remains a viable national asset for another 70 years.
ATK Small Caliber Systems continues its leadership in the global defense-systems marketplace by supplying the U.S. government and its allies with quality, cost-effective non-standard (non-NATO) ammunition. The division serves as a prime systems integrator to procure and deliver non-standard supplies, including small-, medium-, and large-caliber ammunition, grenades, aviation rockets and weapons.
