ATK-Goleta
ATK Space Structures and Components –
Deployables, located in Goleta, CA (ATK-Goleta) produces innovative
solar arrays,
deployable booms and structures, and mechanisms for government agencies,
aerospace primes and subsystem suppliers.
Our experienced team of engineering, manufacturing and product assurance
personnel are always ready to respond to inquiries and customer technical,
programmatic, development, and manufacturing needs. This dedicated staff is
provided with state-of-the-art engineering computational tools and the
facilities for remote, real-time collaboration with our customers and
suppliers.
ATK
prides itself on delivering 100% flight success on all space hardware.
This record demonstrates that flight success is our highest priority,
particularly as we bring novel, mission-enabling systems to flight
operation.
In 1975, Max Benton and Robert Crawford founded AEC-ABLE Engineering Co.
Over the years, ABLE’s product offerings multiplied, starting with Coilable
boom systems in the early-1980’s, and rapidly branching out into a wide
variety of other deployables. Solar arrays were first offered in the
mid-1990’s. AEC-ABLE Engineering was acquired by ATK in 2004, and has
maintained the culture of innovation and uncompromising commitment to
customer success that was established by our founders.
Flight Heritage
100%
flight success achieved on all missions, including over 70 solar array wings
and another over 50 deployable structures on-orbit.
