| The 30mm, M230 Automatic Cannon is an area weapon
carried on the U.S. Army AH-64 Apache Attack Helicopter and
select MH-60 Aircraft to provide effective point-target fire
support and suppressive fire. Firing the dual purpose, 30mm
linkless ammunition at 625 ± 25 SPM, the M230 is capable
of destroying targets out to 4,000 meters. This makes the M230
an effective, deadly threat against light-armored vehicle targets,
deployed infantry, and targets of opportunity. |
