Trinitrotoluene (TNT)
TNT is a low-cost, melt pour energetic bomb fill material. It is used in the pure state or combined with other materials to provide the necessary lethality for ordnance. TNT has been used primarily for U.S. Air Force general-purpose bombs, but its use is being expanded to include Army and Marine Corps weaponry. ATK's production of TNT will ensure the U.S. Armed Forces continue to have the necessary bomb and artillery capability to support our forces. |
