Expanding Your Horizons (EYH) is a worldwide program developed in California in 1974 to foster and sustain the interest of young women in science and mathematics. The EYH conference provides opportunities for young women to meet and learn from women working in science- and math-related fields. The event features an opening session, three hands-on workshops, lunch and a keynote presentation. A one-hour morning session for parents is also included.
The conference is based on the assumption that intervention strategies are needed to increase the participation of girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) by nurturing enjoyment and confidence in those subjects, by connecting their value to career opportunities, by providing career role models, and by actively encouraging girls to persevere in STEM coursework.

Get helpful information about requirements, scholarships and more. It’s never too early to start investigating options. Note: Parents are also invited to this session.
Learn about the careers of six notable women in science and technology. Discover the challenges and rewards associated with careers in science. This is an interactive session that will include the opportunity for questions and answers. Note: Participants placed in the Lego® workshop will be excused from this session.
