Volunteer Information
Workshop Presenter
Workshop presenters facilitate a hands-on workshop incorporating STEM principles for 12 to 20 girls. They typically work with a co-presenter or other workshop assistants.
Time commitment: Presenters devote between 2 and 10 hours of advance planning, and around 4 hours on the conference day.

Register your workshop today by completing our workshop registration form. Registration is due January 15, 2010.
Conference Volunteer
Conference volunteers help on the event day with setup, registration, T-shirt distribution, snack delivery, hall monitoring and other duties.
Time commitment: Up to 5 hours on the day of the conference, depending on your availability.

2010 Deadlines
- January — Mail save-the-date flyers to broad distribution and direct flyers to past students
- January 15 — Workshop presenters confirmed
- January 22 — Titles and descriptions loaded in online registration system
- February 1 — Mail posters and flyers to schools
- February 1 — Open online registration tool
- February 25 — Presenters meeting at school (evening)
- February 26 — Close online registration tool and mark web page "closed"
- March 12 — Deliver materials to school and set up auditorium
- March 13 — SHOW TIME!
Time schedule for March 13, 2010
- 6:00-6:30 a.m. — The school opens
- 7:00 a.m. — Volunteers helping with registration should arrive
- 7:30 - 8:00 a.m. — Workshop presenter check-in.We would like at least one person from each workshop to check
in at the registration desk BEFORE 8:00 a.m. — so we know not to start dividing your workshop up
into "overflow" groups.
- 7:30 a.m. — Registration Begins
- 8:30 — Welcome
- 9:00-10:00 a.m. — Session 1
- 9:00–10:00 a.m. — Parents Hour — Higher Ed 101
- 10:10-11:10 a.m. — Session 2
- 11:00 a.m. — Snack Delivery. We will deliver a snack to each workshop near the end of the Session 2.
The snack is usually small bag of graham crackers to help ease hunger pangs until lunchtime. The number of bags delivered
will match the number for participants and volunteers in your session.
- 11:20 a.m.-12:20 p.m. — Session 3
- 12:25-1:00 p.m. — Lunch (presenters and assistants are invited to eat lunch)
- 1:00-1:45 p.m. — Keynote Speaker (presenters and assistants are invited to attend)
- 1:45-2:00 p.m. — Closing session/door prizes
